Lungora Review: How Much Do Antioxidant Claims Actually Mean?
Of everything on the label, antioxidant support is the claim with the best foundation. It is also the claim that is hardest to disprove, which is precisely why it appears on so many products.
Antioxidant support is real physiology and a genuine ingredient property. It is also almost impossible to falsify as a marketing claim.
The physiology is real
Oxidative stress is a genuine biological process. Metabolism generates reactive oxygen species; the body neutralises them with enzymatic systems and dietary antioxidants; when production outpaces defence, cellular components take damage. This contributes to ageing and to several disease processes, and it is genuinely elevated in smokers and in chronic lung disease.
Turmeric, CoQ10 and alpha lipoic acid all have real antioxidant activity. That is not marketing invention.
Why the claim is still nearly meaningless
Three problems.
It is unfalsifiable in practice. You cannot feel antioxidant status. There is no home test, no symptom, no number you can check at week eight. A claim that cannot fail to be met is not doing much work.
Antioxidant activity in a test tube is not the same as an outcome in a person. Large trials of antioxidant supplementation have frequently failed to show the benefits that mechanism predicted, and some found harm at high doses. The body’s redox balance is more complicated than more-is-better.
Diet delivers more. A normal intake of vegetables, fruit, tea, coffee and olive oil supplies a far broader range of antioxidant compounds than any capsule.

What would make the claim specific
A targeted antioxidant argument for lungs does exist, and it is worth knowing what it looks like. Glutathione is the principal intracellular antioxidant in the airway lining fluid, and it is depleted in smokers and in COPD. N-acetylcysteine is a glutathione precursor, which is why it appears in respiratory formulas and has actually been studied in COPD populations.
That is a mechanism specific to the organ in question. “Turmeric reduces inflammation generally” is not. The distinction between a targeted antioxidant argument and a generic one is exactly the distinction between a lung formula and this one.
Two ingredients pulling on warfarin
If you are anticoagulated, this formula creates an unusually awkward situation.
Turmeric affects platelet function and may increase bleeding risk. Coenzyme Q10 is structurally similar to vitamin K and can reduce warfarin’s effect — the opposite direction.
Two ingredients pulling on anticoagulation in opposing directions does not cancel out into safety. It makes INR harder to predict, which is precisely what anticoagulation management is trying to avoid. Add L-carnitine, which has its own reported interaction with warfarin, and you have three of six ingredients touching the same system.
None of this appears on the seller’s page. Take the ingredient list to whoever manages your INR before you order, not after.
Independent background reading, none of it selling anything: NHLBI on how lungs work, PubMed and MedlinePlus on dietary supplements. For the applied version of this on our own pages, see what the product actually is or the Lungora official website reference.
What we would do
Take the ingredient list to a pharmacist before ordering — blood pressure, anticoagulant, diabetes and thyroid medication all intersect with this formula. Buy a peak flow meter and record a baseline fortnight before your first capsule so you have a number rather than an impression. Choose the three-bottle package rather than the six, since ninety days is a fair assessment window and it does not leave four months of capsules outside a 60-day guarantee. And diarise day 50 on the day you order.
How to verify any of this
Every claim above comes from a source you can check yourself: the official order page, the published guarantee terms, the manufacturer’s own artwork, or peer-reviewed literature on each named ingredient. Where an amount is not disclosed by the seller, we say so rather than estimating it. If you find something here that is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will re-check it and re-date the page.

Two bottles $178 ($89 each) plus shipping, three bottles $216 ($72 each) with free US shipping, or six bottles $294 ($49 each) with free US shipping. There is no single-bottle option.
The package prices are real and the totals multiply correctly. The $179-per-bottle reference price the savings are measured against is not a price anyone has paid.
Sixty days from purchase. Note that the largest package is a 180-day supply, so two thirds of it falls outside the refund window from the moment it arrives.

Disclaimer. This formula contains butcher's broom, a vasoconstrictor that may raise blood pressure, and both turmeric and coenzyme Q10, which affect anticoagulation in opposite directions. Alpha lipoic acid lowers blood glucose. Take the ingredient list to a pharmacist before ordering, particularly if you take blood pressure, anticoagulant, diabetes or thyroid medication.
