Our editorial standard

Every factual claim on this site traces to one of four primary sources: the printed Supplement Facts panel, the official order page, the stated return policy, or peer-reviewed literature indexed on PubMed and summarised by bodies such as the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute and the American Lung Association.

Where a figure is not disclosed, we write that it is not disclosed rather than filling the gap with an estimate. Where a dose falls short of the study a seller cites, we publish both numbers and let you compare them. Where a marketing claim is inaccurate, we correct it on the same page that carries our affiliate link.

Why this product gets extra scrutiny

Three reasons, all specific to this product.

The first is the gap between the name and the formula. A capsule sold as a “Lung Cleanse Formula” contains magnesium, alpha lipoic acid, butcher’s broom, L-carnitine, turmeric and CoQ10 — six ingredients whose human research is about nerves, veins, mitochondria and general inflammation. The compounds that appear in genuine respiratory formulas are absent. That is not a subtle criticism requiring interpretation; it is a list anyone can check.

The second is the audience. This is marketed to adults over 50, the group most likely to be taking blood pressure medication, an anticoagulant or a thyroid tablet — and the formula contains a vasoconstrictor and two ingredients that pull on anticoagulation in opposite directions, with no warning about either.

The third is what the symptoms mean. Breathlessness, a persistent cough and wheeze are the symptoms of conditions that are diagnosable and treatable, and that do better when found early. A supplement bought instead of a spirometry appointment can cost a person years of lung function. That is a different order of harm from wasting money.

Why we carry affiliate links

The commission does not change what we publish: the same pages that link to the product also document that none of its six ingredients is lung-specific, that the compounds found in real respiratory formulas are all absent, that the seller’s own mechanism section describes nerves and circulation rather than lungs, that no doses are published and no Supplement Facts panel is shown, that butcher’s broom is a vasoconstrictor sold without a blood pressure warning, that turmeric and CoQ10 both affect anticoagulation, that no manufacturer is named, that the savings are anchored on a price nobody has paid, and that the guarantee covers a third of the largest package. If we only published favourable material the links would be worth more and the site would be worth less.

How we date our pages

Prices, formulations and policies change without notice. Every page carries the date its claims were last verified against primary sources.
