Lungora Review: The Immunity Claim on the Bottle

“Immunity” appears on the bottle itself, in the phrase “promotes respiratory cleansing & immunity.” It is worth asking which ingredient is supposed to be doing that.

The short version

No ingredient in this formula has a meaningful immune evidence base. Vitamin C, vitamin D and zinc — the usual immune actives — are all absent.

What is normally in an immune formula

The immune category has a recognisable ingredient set, and it is not this one. Vitamin D has the most substantial evidence, particularly for respiratory infection in people who are deficient. Zinc has reasonable evidence on common cold duration when taken early. Vitamin C has modest evidence, stronger in people under physical stress.

Beyond those, elderberry, echinacea and beta-glucans appear across the category with varying support.

None of the six — not one — is in Lungora.

What the ingredients here can and cannot claim

There is an indirect argument, and it is worth stating fairly so the criticism is proportionate. Oxidative stress does affect immune cell function, and antioxidants therefore have some general relationship to immune competence. Magnesium is a cofactor in immune signalling pathways, and severe deficiency does impair immune function.

But that argument is available to essentially any nutrient. It is a long way from the specific immune evidence that vitamin D or zinc carry, and it does not support putting the word immunity on a bottle.

What actually reduces respiratory infection

Worth listing, because it is the practical version of what the label is gesturing at.

Vaccination — influenza, pneumococcus, COVID-19 and RSV where eligible. This is the intervention with the largest effect on respiratory infection in older adults, and uptake is far from complete.

Correcting vitamin D deficiency if you have it — particularly at northern latitudes in winter. That is testable and correctable cheaply.

Hand hygiene, sleep and not smoking. Unglamorous and effective.

If respiratory infection is your concern, a vaccination appointment and a vitamin D test will do more than $294 of this product.

The guarantee against the package

The guarantee is 60 days from purchase, stated plainly and, to the seller’s credit, without the contradictory wording common in this category. There is no “no questions asked” badge sitting next to a hidden minimum-use requirement.

The problem is arithmetic rather than wording. The headline package — the one carrying the “$780 OFF” banner and the lowest per-bottle price — contains 180 days of capsules against a 60-day window. Two thirds of what you paid for sits outside protection from the moment it arrives.

Meanwhile the ingredients here are the kind measured over eight to twelve weeks in trials, so a fair assessment finishes around day 90 — a month after your right to a refund expired. Diarise day 50, and take three bottles rather than six.

Independent background reading, none of it selling anything: NHLBI on COPD, the FDA dietary supplement overview and the American Lung Association. For the applied version of this on our own pages, see the full ingredient breakdown and interaction table or the Lungora official website reference.

What we would do

Take the ingredient list to a pharmacist before ordering — blood pressure, anticoagulant, diabetes and thyroid medication all intersect with this formula. Buy a peak flow meter and record a baseline fortnight before your first capsule so you have a number rather than an impression. Choose the three-bottle package rather than the six, since ninety days is a fair assessment window and it does not leave four months of capsules outside a 60-day guarantee. And diarise day 50 on the day you order.

How to verify any of this

Every claim above comes from a source you can check yourself: the official order page, the published guarantee terms, the manufacturer’s own artwork, or peer-reviewed literature on each named ingredient. Where an amount is not disclosed by the seller, we say so rather than estimating it. If you find something here that is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will re-check it and re-date the page.

Frequently asked

The package prices are real and the totals multiply correctly. The $179-per-bottle reference price the savings are measured against is not a price anyone has paid.

Sixty days from purchase. Note that the largest package is a 180-day supply, so two thirds of it falls outside the refund window from the moment it arrives.

No manufacturer is named. The published address belongs to ShipOffers, a third-party fulfilment company in Aurora, Colorado, and checkout runs through BuyGoods.

No. Healthy lungs clean themselves continuously via the mucociliary escalator and alveolar macrophages. There is no accumulated residue for a capsule to dissolve.

Disclaimer. This formula contains butcher's broom, a vasoconstrictor that may raise blood pressure, and both turmeric and coenzyme Q10, which affect anticoagulation in opposite directions. Alpha lipoic acid lowers blood glucose. Take the ingredient list to a pharmacist before ordering, particularly if you take blood pressure, anticoagulant, diabetes or thyroid medication.
