Lungora Reviews

Lungora Get Reviewed: Premium Lung Cleanse Capsule, Graded Ingredient by Ingredient

Six actives, six grades. Each scored on two separate questions: does the ingredient have human evidence for what it actually does, and does it belong in a product named for lungs?

The short version

Four of six score respectably on their own merits. All six score zero on respiratory relevance.

Magnesium glycinate and CoQ10 — the two that carry the formula

Magnesium glycinate. Evidence: good. Respiratory relevance: none, with one asterisk. A well-absorbed, gentle form with real data on sleep quality and muscle function. The asterisk: intravenous magnesium relaxes bronchial smooth muscle and is used in hospital for acute severe asthma. That is a genuine respiratory role — intravenous, at hospital doses, in an emergency. It does not transfer to an oral capsule.

Coenzyme Q10. Evidence: reasonable. Respiratory relevance: none. A mitochondrial antioxidant with human research on heart failure, statin muscle symptoms and blood pressure, at 100–300 mg. Sensible in a healthy-aging formula. The label does not say whether it is ubiquinol or ubiquinone, which materially changes absorption.

Turmeric and alpha lipoic acid — good ingredients, wrong product

Turmeric. Evidence: large, with an absorption problem. Respiratory relevance: none. Curcumin has a substantial anti-inflammatory literature and is very poorly absorbed on its own. Trials showing effects almost always use an enhanced preparation or add piperine. No standardisation or enhancer is stated here.

Alpha lipoic acid. Evidence: strong for one thing. Respiratory relevance: none. Its best human data is in diabetic peripheral neuropathy at 600 mg daily, often intravenous in the most convincing trials. It is unambiguously a nerve ingredient, and the seller groups it exactly that way.

L-carnitine and butcher's broom — the two we would remove

L-carnitine. Evidence: modest. Respiratory relevance: none. Transports fatty acids into mitochondria; studied for exercise capacity at 1–2 g daily, which a shared capsule cannot approach. Gut bacteria convert it to TMAO, a metabolite linked in observational work to cardiovascular risk.

Butcher's broom. Evidence: reasonable for veins. Respiratory relevance: none, and actively questionable. A vasoconstrictor studied for varicose veins and haemorrhoids. In a product sold to over-50s it can raise blood pressure, and the page carries no warning. Of all six ingredients this is the hardest to explain on any grounds except that it sounds botanical.

Nobody's name is on the bottle

This is easy to miss and worth a minute. Read the official page looking for a manufacturer and you will not find one.

The address published in the footer belongs to ShipOffers, a third-party fulfilment company in Aurora, Colorado. Checkout runs through BuyGoods. Both are real, legitimate businesses — but neither is a supplement brand. They warehouse product and process payments for whoever contracts them.

So there is no company standing behind this formula the way there would be behind an established brand: no quality history, no other products to judge it by, and nobody to escalate to beyond a support address. The page is also labelled ADVERTORIAL at the very top, which is a disclosure most readers scroll straight past.

Independent background reading, none of it selling anything: NHLBI on asthma, NHLBI on COPD and the FDA dietary supplement overview. For the applied version of this on our own pages, see how the formula is meant to work or the Lungora official website reference.

What we would do

Take the ingredient list to a pharmacist before ordering — blood pressure, anticoagulant, diabetes and thyroid medication all intersect with this formula. Buy a peak flow meter and record a baseline fortnight before your first capsule so you have a number rather than an impression. Choose the three-bottle package rather than the six, since ninety days is a fair assessment window and it does not leave four months of capsules outside a 60-day guarantee. And diarise day 50 on the day you order.

Frequently asked

No. No milligram amounts appear on the sales page or in the FAQ, and no Supplement Facts panel is displayed anywhere on the site.

Two bottles $178 ($89 each) plus shipping, three bottles $216 ($72 each) with free US shipping, or six bottles $294 ($49 each) with free US shipping. There is no single-bottle option.

The package prices are real and the totals multiply correctly. The $179-per-bottle reference price the savings are measured against is not a price anyone has paid.

Sixty days from purchase. Note that the largest package is a 180-day supply, so two thirds of it falls outside the refund window from the moment it arrives.

About this article

Written and fact-checked against primary sources: the printed Supplement Facts panel, the official order page, the published return policy and peer-reviewed literature. Every claim touching dosing, interactions or contraindications is reviewed by Dr. Priya Raghunathan, PharmD, BCPS before publication. See our editorial policy.

Disclaimer. This formula contains butcher's broom, a vasoconstrictor that may raise blood pressure, and both turmeric and coenzyme Q10, which affect anticoagulation in opposite directions. Alpha lipoic acid lowers blood glucose. Take the ingredient list to a pharmacist before ordering, particularly if you take blood pressure, anticoagulant, diabetes or thyroid medication. These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, and Lungora is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Shortness of breath, a cough lasting more than three weeks, wheezing or coughing up blood require medical assessment rather than a supplement.
